Everything you need to know about your referral link, how businesses you send to Zentive are tracked, how commission is calculated, and when and how you get paid.

This guide covers the program as it works today. Your individual rate and any complimentary access are set in your partner agreement.

Your link

One link tracks every referral

You receive a personal referral link and a matching code. Anyone who signs up for Zentive through that link, or types your code during signup, is recorded as your referral.

Your link looks like

Use the exact link you were given. Only this link records referrals. If you send viewers to the Zentive homepage instead, the signup is not connected to you. Put the link in video descriptions, pinned comments, bios, and newsletters.

Your code works too. Anyone can open the signup page directly and enter your code under "Have a partner referral code?" This is the fallback for viewers who heard the code but never clicked the link.

Tracking

How referrals are recorded

When someone clicks your link, Zentive remembers you in their browser for 30 days. If they sign up any time in that window, the referral is yours.
If they sign up on a different device or in a private window, the link memory does not carry over. Typing your code at signup solves that.
The first creator link a person clicks wins. A code typed at signup overrides any remembered link.
Once a business is created, the referral is permanent. Later ad clicks or other links do not change it.
Only new businesses count. Someone who already has a Zentive account cannot be added as your referral.

Commission

What you earn

You earn a percentage of the subscription fees Zentive actually collects from each business you refer, for as long as that business remains a paying Zentive customer, unless your agreement states a fixed earning period. If a business you referred pays Zentive for 36 months, you are paid commission for all 36 months. If it pays for five years, you are paid for five years. Your percentage and earning period are locked in for each referral at the moment it signs up, so a later change to program terms never affects referrals you already have. Your stats page shows the exact terms locked for every referral.

Commission is always on the final price paid. Zentive runs promotions from time to time, such as an early-upgrade discount for new trial accounts. When a referred business buys at a discount, your percentage applies to the discounted amount Zentive actually collects, not the list price. Once the promotion ends and the business pays full price, so does your commission. Plan prices are subject to change.

This is an example calculation only, not a projection or a promise. Your actual results will vary based on your agreed commission rate, which plans your referrals choose, whether they buy during a promotion, how long each one remains a paying customer, and any refunds or chargebacks. Plan prices are subject to change.

If that business later receives a refund or disputes a charge, the commission on the refunded amount is reversed. If it was already paid to you, the difference is deducted from your next payout.

Payment

From a customer's payment to your payout

Day 0
A business you referred pays its Zentive subscription. The commission is recorded against that specific payment.
Days 1 to 30
The amount sits in a 30-day hold. This covers Zentive's refund window and card dispute period. Any refund or chargeback in this time reduces the amount.
After day 30
The amount becomes payable and is added to your balance.
Monthly
Zentive reviews your balance. If it is at least $25, the payout is sent to your PayPal account. Balances under $25 carry forward to the next month.
With each payout
Your stats page shows a statement for each payout: every customer payment it covered, the date, the eligible amount, and your commission, so you can reconcile it line by line, as soon as Zentive records the payment.

Currency: US dollars
Minimum payout: $25, smaller balances carry forward
Hold period: 30 days from each customer payment
Payment method: PayPal, sent by Zentive to the PayPal email in your agreement
Tax reporting: You are responsible for reporting your own income. Zentive will request the tax details it needs before your first payout.

Complimentary access

If your agreement includes a free Zentive account

Some partners run their own business on Zentive at no charge. If this is part of your agreement, here is how it works.

You sign up for a normal free trial with your business email. After you verify your email, Zentive upgrades that account to the agreed plan. Your agreement may provide a number of free months, a specific end date, or lifetime complimentary access.
You get the full features and included user count of that plan. Extra seats and add-ons are not included.
You will not be asked for a card and you will not be charged. A banner inside the app shows your plan and either Lifetime or the date your complimentary access ends.
Card processing fees on payments from your own customers still apply, as they do for every Zentive business.
Lifetime grants have no scheduled end date. When a dated period ends, your data stays intact and the app asks you to choose a plan. Nothing renews or charges automatically.
Your own account never earns commission, and signups using your own contact email do not count as referrals.

Ground rules

Keeping the program fair

Your referral code is not a discount code. It credits you; it does not change what the business pays. Do not advertise it as a discount.
Describe Zentive accurately. Do not promise features, pricing, or results that Zentive has not published.
Do not create accounts on behalf of other people or refer businesses you own or operate.
Referrals that look like duplicates of an existing account are reviewed before any commission is paid.
Either side can pause or end the partnership on good terms. Existing referrals continue earning and being paid under their original rate and duration while eligible customer payments continue.
Zentive retains the right to terminate your partnership, and any complimentary Zentive account, if either is used in violation of the Zentive Terms of Service. On termination, commission stops on all customer payments from that date forward, including payments from businesses you referred earlier, and unpaid balances are forfeited.
